New Year's Evil

What We Thought

Written by Leonard Neubauer and Emmett Alston, directed by Emmett Alston, and Starring Roz Kelley, Kip Niven, and Chris Wallace, this 1980 horror/thriller boasts a 25% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 500K dollar budget. Now, Alston is probably better known for Moonchild or Demon Warp, and Roz Kelley for Happy Days or Blansky's Beauties. This movie is rated R and has a short 85 minute runtime. The basic premise is that a killer calls into a New Year's Eve radio/tv show warning that he will kill at the stroke of midnight in each time zone, culminating with killing Kelley's character when midnight comes to L.A. This movie is fairly bloody, and has a twist at the end that leaves the ending ambiguous. Let's find out if that is enough to make it a good watch.
