The 1988 Robert Zdar vehicle is also known as American Murder, and was written and directed by Amir Shervan (Samurai Cop). It also stars Jim Brown and Harold Diamond, is rated R, and runs 101 minutes. It has a 20% on Rotten Tomatoes. This is a crime thriller that features an unlikely heist, a very likely arrest, an even more unlikely rescue from the prison transport, and a nonsensical kidnapping. And that's just the setup.
